This certification is used to seek visa acceptance for migration purposes? If you have similar goals you need to achieve a certain score in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). This test is assessed based on all four skills of the English language that is; reading, speaking, listening and writing. The scoring is done on a zero to thirty scale for each component. The examination helps evaluate the individual level of English to identify how well they are able to manage or cope with native English speakers in an academic or professional setting or their socializing skills with the locals of the country applying for.

The TOEFL iBT is offered in three ways: test centre, home edition, paper edition. Even though you need to take these sections separately, you’ve to perform the combination of these skills. The total test will take about 3 hours to complete.
From the passages above, it is clear now that the TOEFL exam is taken by those who want to study abroad or work abroad. With regards to ‘TOEFL eligibility’, the good news is there is no eligibility criteria so to speak. Anybody could technically write the TOEFL exam.
Interestingly enough, there is no age limit to take the TOEFL test! But in order to attempt the exam, you need to carry a valid passport as proof of identity at the time of the exam.
